The Arts Curriculum Intent:

The Arts curriculum at Keyham Lodge provides exposure to a broader creative world and facilitates opportunities for self-expression to support the creation of enriched and cultured citizens.

All aspects of Art whether that is drawing, cooking or designing plays an essential role within the development of SEMH in schools as a curriculum and as a mental health support network.  The act of Art creates a relaxed and calm environment where students have the confidence to express their feelings and thoughts through their work. As a department, we ensure to deliver a rich and varied curriculum support both educational and social development for the students at Keyham Lodge School.
