KS3 Catering

The Catering programme of study and schemes of work in years 7, 8 and 9 are designed and created to introduce basic skills and techniques, in all aspects of cooking.  We begin in year 7, introducing, and equipping students with the necessary knowledge, and skills required to progress further into specific home cooking skills.  Units will be delivered quickly, and monitored closely to begin planning for their KS4 Options where they have the option to undertake a BTEC level 1, and 2.   The BTEC assessment objectives have been firmly embedded into all aspects of planning for KS3.
