leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise partnership (LLEP)

The Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) is a strategic body led by a Board made up of local government and business leaders, as well as senior education and third sector representatives. The LLEP Board draws upon the expertise of senior leaders from various sectors which, in turn, helps the wider community achieve its goals of driving forward regeneration and growth in the local economy.  There is a dedicated member of staff who works alongside the school to help the students to gain interview practice, skills for work, and knowledge of the employment process to help students post-16.

This year we have had the pleasure of working with LLEP even more than normal as we take part in a joint project with them called We Discover.

As part of this, Keyham Lodge has been able to work with Leicester City Football Club exploring the different roles that there are within a Premier League football club and how our students could work within those roles.

Below are photos of some of our year 11 students enjoying their morning at LCFC designing new football strips for Home and Away games and creating better designed transportation to take them to away games.

The boys certainly enjoyed their day visiting the King Power Stadium.
