Life Skills
What is LifeSkills?
- The LifeSkills Programme provides learners with the tools and knowledge for a successful transition from Keyham Lodge to their next step
- We have created a scheme of work that is aimed at Years 10 and 11 students using a combination of students EHCP’s, behaviour plans, and feedback from staff and the students themselves
The six LifeSkills modules
- Healthy Lifestyles
- Employability Skills
- Community Building
- Home Economics
- E-landscapes
- Problem Solving
Two methods of measuring/assessing development and success of the LifeSkills Programme;
- Impact Ed - ‘baseline test > programme > summative test’ format; produces reports and comparable data every 6-8 weeks of the programme to effectively track progress/areas to develop.
- LifeSkills reflective booklet/diary - a weekly system which works directly towards an identified goal/relevant to EHCP targets. Examples of the LifeSkills programme booklets are attached.
