Life Skills

What is LifeSkills?

  1. The LifeSkills Programme provides learners with the tools and knowledge for a successful transition from Keyham Lodge to their next step
  2. We have created a scheme of work that is aimed at Years 10 and 11 students using a combination of students EHCP’s, behaviour plans, and feedback from staff and the students themselves

The six LifeSkills modules

  1. Healthy Lifestyles
  2. Employability Skills
  3. Community Building
  4. Home Economics
  5. E-landscapes
  6. Problem Solving

Two methods of measuring/assessing development and success of the LifeSkills Programme;

  1. Impact Ed - ‘baseline test > programme > summative test’ format; produces reports and comparable data every 6-8 weeks of the programme to effectively track progress/areas to develop.
  2. LifeSkills reflective booklet/diary - a weekly system which works directly towards an identified goal/relevant to EHCP targets. Examples of the LifeSkills programme booklets are attached.
