The maths curriculum at Keyham Lodge is designed to ensure that all students develop a deep understanding of how maths shapes the world in which they live.

At key stage 3 our students will learn how maths is seen and used in a range of familiar contexts.

Teaching and learning will be determined by individual students starting points and gaps.  This will be underpinned through the use of baseline assessment and other opportunities, using the Complete Maths platform, to help gain a better understanding of our students individual learning journeys in Maths.

The majority of students will have the opportunity to pass a maths qualification at the end of year 9, with the plan being to further develop their confidence in their understanding, and to provide a tiered approach to assessment.

At Key stage 4 our students will follow an appropriate qualification which will enable them to progress to college or employment.

Currently we offer the opportunity to study;

Edexcel Entry Level Certificate in Mathematics

Edexcel Functional Skills- Level 1/Level 2

AQA GCSE Maths (Foundation and Higher Tier)
